5Gens was founded to help wealthy families safely and properly transfer assets to, at least, members of their 5th generation. Most wealthy families have issues securing their wealth past the 3rd generation!
Our goal is to form a strong, same side of the table relationship with clients, which we hope will be a long-lasting, collaborative partnership. By long-lasting, we specifically mean 5 Generations! Everything we do is focused on assisting trustees, institutions and families with investment consulting and overall asset planning strategies. Being a true fiduciary, all we do, we do for our clients.
5Gens provides personalized confidential financial advising and investment management to individuals, trusts, and families in general. Advice is provided through consultation with the client and may include: determination of financial objectives, investment management, education funding, retirement planning, and estate planning.
5Gens is an employee-owned firm serving families and family office clients in a completely transparent and true fiduciary manner. Importantly, we do not have any fees sharing arrangements with managers and do not have any broker-dealer conflicts. 5Gens has no conflicts of interest. The firm does not receive commissions for purchasing or selling annuities, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, limited partnerships, or other commissioned products. The firm is not affiliated with entities that sell financial products or securities. No commissions in any form are accepted. No finder's fees are accepted.
Investment advice is provided, with the advisor making the final decision on investment selection. 5Gens does not act as a custodian of client assets. The client always maintains control of their assets. 5Gens places trades for clients under a limited power of attorney. Nonetheless, 5Gens manages assets on a discretionary basis. No assets are managed on a non-discretionary basis.
Quarterly reviews are held with clients to review portfolios and to discuss changes or clients situation. The client can ask the reasoning behind every movement conducted and the advisor will provide this in written, justifying the decisions at the time they were made.
